Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Friendly Handyman ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.friendlyhandyman.pro (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact or free-estimate form, call us, or email us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Property address or service location
- Details about the project or service you're requesting
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we (and tools we use, like analytics software) may automatically collect:
- IP address and general location (city/region level)
- Browser type and device information
- Pages visited, time on page, and referring website
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3)
We do not collect payment card information through the Site — quotes and invoices are handled separately, off-site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your estimate request and schedule service
- Communicate with you about your project (by phone, text, or email)
- Improve the Site and our services
- Send occasional updates, offers, or seasonal reminders, if you've opted in
- Meet legal, accounting, or insurance requirements
- Protect against fraud, abuse, or security issues
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve performance. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the Site may not function properly without them.
At this time, the Site does not run paid advertising or retargeting pixels.
4. Text Messages and Phone Calls
If you provide your phone number, we may contact you by phone or text message about your estimate or project. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask to be removed from our call list at any time by telling us directly.
We do not use auto-dialed or prerecorded marketing calls/texts without your prior consent, in line with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers who help us run the business — for example, scheduling software, CRM tools, email/text providers, and accounting software. These providers only access what they need to do their job.
- Subcontractors, if a project requires bringing in a licensed specialist (e.g., an electrician for EV charger work), and only the project details needed to complete the job.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — if the business is sold or transferred, customer information may be part of the assets transferred, subject to this policy.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, and meet legal or tax obligations — generally 7 years for financial and project records. You can request earlier deletion; see Section 8.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time
- (California residents) Exercise rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which we don't do.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party sites (like our Google Business Profile or social media pages). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — check their own policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
